Technology and precisionProGold’s production process is based on a series of actions
which are aimed to obtain precision castings
. The
perfect combination of human resources and computer systems manages
the production, granting the best casting conditions for the alloy,
always respecting the standard rules for each working phase, in
order to avoid human mistake as far as possible.
Casting little amounts of alloy
(non exceeding 25kg)
can ensure the homogeneity of the final product. Checking all the
components, especially the ones which are present only in small
quantities (1g/kg), is a good way to proceed, along with the
possibility of mixing the different components. At this moment,
analysis on the final product are more frequent and more precise,
granting top quality standards.
This particular technique is frequently used in steel production:
melting big quantities can offer only common steel, whilst melting
little quantities can assure special steel with better
performances.
There are other important devices for improving the product
qualitative standard. For example, induction casting
-
a dynamic melting where components are mixed, thanks to an
electromagnetic phenomena; the use of different
crucibles
for each alloy, to avoid contaminations of elements
coming from other castings; the use of a single crucible
without casting ladle
in order to avoid alloy oxidation during
its passage through the ladle and to eliminate residual materials
from casting. As a state of fact, this residue, after the passage
in air, could affect the final pureness and homogeneity. Product HomogeneityCasting little amounts of master alloy
(not
over 25kg) guarantee the homogeneity of the final product. Checking
all the components, especially the ones present in small quantities
(1g/kg), is a good way to proceed along with the possibility for
mixing the different components. The analysis on the final product,
carried out by sample, become more frequent and precise, ensuring a
product of high quality standards. Such technique is used in the
steels production field: casting big quantities of steel produce
ordinary steels, while for special steels which offer particular
performances, castings are of small dimensions.
